Definition of Spot.
According to the dictionary, the definition of a spot is something that is different in colour or texture from its surrounding area of which it is a part; a blemish, blot, mark, smudge or speck.
If you don’t know what the spot or spill is.
Apply Natural & Clean Dry Carpet Cleaner. Brush in all directions with either a hand brush, your fingers or the Natural & Clean Carpet Daisy Brush. Vacuum away the now dirty-in-appearance Dry Carpet Cleaner.
Most spots and spills are removed after the first application.
What are permanent stains?
Permanent stains by definition are impossible to remove and are created by substances such as: toilet cleaners, iodine, bleach, fruit drink, instant coffee, curry powders, food colouring, cigarette burns and permanent ink.
Old stains will be more difficult to remove.
Liquid Spills & Pet Accidents.
Absorb as much of the spill as possible with a clean white absorbent towel or tissue. (Standing on the cloth or paper tissue can help the absorption process). Once the entire spill is absorbed, apply a generous amount of the Natural & Clean Dry Carpet Cleaner directly onto the area and leave for 24 hours or until dry. Remove by vacuuming. If some of the spill remains, use Natural & Clean Spot Remover and follow the instructions on the bottle (or the wipes packet) and repeat the procedure with the Dry Carpet Cleaner again.
In General.
The quicker you get to a spot or a spill, the greater your chance of successfully removing it. Contain spillages as quickly as possible by scooping up the majority of any solids with a spoon and absorb the liquids with paper or cloth towels. Some spots and spills can permanently stain carpets immediately and cannot be removed. However, a quick reaction to the accident can minimise the damage. Never pour the liquid Spot Remover directly onto a spot or spill, (always spray onto a cloth or towel) as this will only dissolve the spore and drive it deeper into the carpet backing, where it will wick back to the surface when it dries the following day.
If the spot or spill does not move.
Apply Spot Remover on a cloth and blot the spot or spill working from the outer edge towards the centre. Apply more Dry Carpet Cleaner then brush or vacuum away. Repeat if necessary. Successful removal takes time. BE PATIENT!
